We bring a de-colonial, and identity-affirming approach to each session, where we honour diverse experiences and perspectives. We offer separate groups for those new/ish to EMDR and for therapists on the path to accreditation, creating supportive space to build confidence and skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are the groups on?

We run 2 groups a month:​

  • A new and newish to EMDR Group Consultation on the last Tuesday of each month for 1 hour.

    • This group is best for EMDR clinicians who have at least completed Part I or have completed both Part I and Part II EMDR training.​

    • There are a maximum of 4 people in each monthly group which allows for a people to support and learn from each other.

    • Each clinician will have around 15 minutes to present a case, a question, or topic for discussion

  • An Accreditation Focused EMDR Group on the last Thursday of each month for 2 hours. ​

    • This group is best for EMDR clinicians who are focussed on accreditation whether that be to become an accredited practitioner or a consultant​

    • There are a maximum of 4 people in each monthly group which allows for people to support each other and work towards accreditation together whilst also honing skills.

    • Each clinician will have around 30 minutes to present a case, a question, or a topic for discussion.

How much do groups cost?

$160 for New and Newish to EMDR Group Consultation

$180 for Accreditation Focused EMDR Group Consultation​

Can group sessions with Mish be counted towards EMDRAA Hours?

Individual and Group Consultation Hours with Mish currently don't count towards EMDRAA hours required for accreditation. This is in the process of changing and we will update people of these changes.​

What lenses are used in EMDR Group Consultation at Niram?

In addition to being a decolonial, anti-pathologising and identity affirming practitioner, as well as being a consultant in training, Mish has done further training in Attachment Informed EMDR [AI EMDR], Relational Integrative EMDR [RI EMDR], Individual and Group Acute Stress Syndrome Stabilization protocols [ASYSST]  and EMDR group modalities such as EMDR Integrative Group Treatment Protocol Adapted for Ongoing Traumatic Stress [EMDR-IGTP-OTS], and The EMDR Protocol for Recent Critical Incidents and Ongoing Traumatic Stress [EMDR-PRECI]
